It can be easy to forget now, with how popular the game is across its many platforms and how accessible it has become, that Destiny 2 was once a full-priced game just like its predecessor. The Taken Relic is the item that drops from the minor boss enemies during the final boss fight. The Taken Relic is also the item that is needed to break the boss's immune shields, and there are multiple opportunities to grab one during this activity. Additionally, Taken Relics are the items that drop and need to be used to progress from stage to stage in Astral Alignm Originally, weapons in the kinetic and energy slot were the same, the only difference being the element (and therefore the ammo) used . This meant that many utility weapons, like powerful shotguns and explosive rocket launchers , were restricted to the heavy slot. With the current system, however, these three slots remain the same, but the weapons contained within are now tied to ammo.
