Intimidating Fang is extremely resourceful, as it allows players to protect their pokémon from the opponent's attacks by receiving 30 damage less than what they would have originally received. However, Luxray needs to be in the Active Pokémon s   It is also crucial to have the right number of Pokemon, trainer, and energy cards. Most decks use between 15 and 25 energies, though since Fire-types drain fuel a bit quicker it is recommended to lean toward having more of them than l   It is also resistant to Steel or Metal-type cards and boasts of a considerable 220 HP. It is an extremely powerful Electric-type card if all of its traits are taken into consideration and therefore, should not be underestima   However, not all pokémon belonging to this type are capable of showcasing astounding abilities or the full extent of their power, with many powerful dark-type pokémon the catagory also faces a legitimate weakness. Regardless, the type should not be underestimated, as it is home to many intimidating pokémon which make great additions to a PTCG d   Although the damage counter dealt by this attack is little, landing only 30 damage to the opponent, it allows the player to attach one dark energy to any of his/her benched pokemon from the discard pile. The cost is also minimal at just one dark energy. It also has a secondary attack known as Darkness Blade, but it restricts Yveltal from attacking in the following turn and therefore should be avoided as it ruins the setup the player had made in the previous t   Fire-type Pokemon hit hard, though they don't usually have high HP. This makes them the glass cannons of the Pokemon tcg Pokemon Card world . If one does not set up their offense in time, they may lose Pokemon needlessly to opponents with faster decks. A way to avoid this is to start off playing weaker and quicker Pokemon fi   As a Rapid Strike card, this Censtiskorch lives up to its classification pretty well. On the first turn that it is in the Active Pokemon slot, it can use Coil to deal a bit of damage to the opponent as well as to buff itself. Coil will cause Centiskorch's next attack to deal an additional 90 damage. Therefore, if Centiskorch then uses their other move, Burning Train (which has a base damage of 120), this Fire-type Pokemon can slam the foe with 210 damage with no downsides besides a 1-turn buil   This sinister hypnotist's strength relies on the other Pokemon in play. Their Dark Link move allows this Psychic-type to use any attack of a fellow Dark Pokemon without needing to pay its energy cost. All other requirements still need to be met, though, with the ability to unleash a Benched comrade's Dark Tentacle, Giant Tail, or Mind Shock, it is often worth the pr   Furthermore, the player can reshuffle all discarded water energy cards from the discard pile into the playing deck after using Riptide. Along with cards such as Misty’s Wrath and Secret Mission from the Wizards Of The Coast Era, this card is extremely power   Getting a bit lucky and doing this multiple turns in a row can ravage any foe. Though, if luck is not something a trainer wants to rely on, this shellfish Pokemon's Hydrocannon attack can blow adversaries out of the water with a no-downside maximum damage of 70 HP. For high and consistent damage, versatility, as well as longevity, this Blastoise is the Dark Pokemon with the most promise of doom for a player's enem   Not guaranteed to hit but when it does, it can even take out an enemy Dark Dragonite. This card also has a great Pokemon Power called Summon Minions, which lets Dark Dragonite's trainer place two Basic Pokemon from the deck to the Bench as reinforceme   It would be a good idea to have a few Fire-type Pokemon that take neutral damage to Water-type attacks, like Talonflame from the Darkness Ablaze expansion (it is instead weak to Lightning-type attacks). Having some Grass-types or Lighning-type Pokemon could also be useful counters, depending on one's deck syne   As many would expect, Dark Charizard, from the Team Rocket Set, is one of the stronger of the Dark Pokemon variants. Although, since it essentially guzzles energy, this Fire-type Pokemon should be used only when someone has plenty of resources to sp   Belonging to the XY-Fates Collide expansion, Mandibuzz is a stage one pokémon with 110 HP that comes as hugely handy when dealing with particular situations. This dark pokemon is especially useful because of its ability Bone Drop, which is able to deal a damage of 60 to any one of the opponent’s pokémon if it has an Abil
