The title and release date of **The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ** have finally been revealed, and Zelda fans may want to catch up by replaying some of the series before diving into BOTW 's sequel next year. Zelda ’s decades-long history is packed with plenty of lore, legends, and tales of Heroes across its many eras, and TOTK is gearing up to be another major installment in the series’ overarching story. However, with 19 official titles in the mainline canon alone, it’s hard to know where to start with a thorough Legend of Zelda rep   Before Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom _ releases, some players may want to go back and do everything they've left unfinished in its predecessor, _Breath of the Wild . There's a massive amount of things to do and see in BOTW , some of which are easy to overlook or difficult to complete, and there are still secrets being discovered in BOTW 5 years after its release. Tears of the Kingdom releases on May 12 of 2023, leaving plenty of time for players to go back and scour Hyrule for everything they might have mis   Epona is one of the most likely inclusions since the lovable horse appears in most Zelda games, but it's still vital for many fans. The level of importance that Zelda games give Epona also varies. Epona was an optional legendary mount in the original Breath of the Wild and felt like a major part of the game in Ocar   Another of Link's new abilities in Tears of the Kingdom is something that will allow him to return objects to a previous position. This power also comes from Link's new arm in the BOTW sequel , and has been shown twice so far. The first time was in the E3 2021 trailer, where Link used it to send a spiked ball back at some enemies, and the second was in the latest Tears of the Kingdom trailer, where he used it to ride a large rock up through the air. Both times, the world turned black-and-white, but everything continued to move around the affected object. This ability looks very similar to BOTW 's Stasis and serves a similar function, and it's possible that it's a new or advanced form of   In Twilight Princess , Link must work with Midna in order to save both of their realms from Zant as his invasion of Hyrule threatens to resurrect Ganondorf. It’s said that the Twilight Realm, the home of the Twili, served as a prison for an ancient tribe who attempted to use magic to gain control of the Sacred Realm. The connections between BOTW , TOTK , and Twilight Princess thus far seem to suggest that the Twili may be connected to the ancient Zonai tribe that mysteriously vanished from Hyrule long before the events of BOTW , though this is only a theory based on the trailers released for TOTK thus   Tingle has already made a reputation for appearing anywhere and everywhere, so a fun inclusion in Tears of the Kingdom would be perfect. Tingle's role could just be as a humble merchant like in Majora's Mask or as a pivotal side character like in Wind Waker . Either way, many fans will either laugh or groan over seeing Tingle ag   The Hyoi Pear would be an eclectic addition to Link's collection of tools in Tears of the Kingdom , and one that could be plenty of fun at that. Solving a difficult puzzle or defusing a villain's trap by sending a bird to fly to the solution would be a delightfully amusing option to include. Hyoi Pears have not been used in over a decade, but Tears of the Kingdom could let players have birds help Link once more. Since BOTW 's Link outfit already resembled Wind Waker 's pajamas , bringing back one of Wind Waker 's most unusual items as well couldn't h   The big objectives such as conquering the Divine Beasts, collecting every memory scene, and finishing out the main questline by defeating Ganon and saving Princess nintendo zelda innovation are things that players may have done numerous times before. However, finishing every small objective in BOTW might not be something they've done so often. There's no reward for completing the game to 100%, but it is a nice challenge and no small accomplishment. The time leading up to TOTK 's release is a good opportunity to do things that players still have left in BOTW , and even if they don't have a particular objective, going back and playing through games before sequels release is still very   As Link explores the BOTW sequel's transformed skies , he will be able to use at least three abilities that have been shown in trailers so far. There are other new items for Link to use, such as a large device that shoots flames, but this looks like a temporary weapon and not something that he will have access to all the time. Though it's not confirmed, it would appear that at least some of Link's powers comes from his new arm, which could mean that it will serve a purpose similar to BOTW 's Sheikah Slate. This arm has been a subject of great interest since it was first revealed, and from what's been shown so far, it will have no small amount of importance to both story and gamep
